After multiple decades, Lynyrd Skynyrd‘s fan base is as strong as it has ever been. Those who were fans of Skynyrd in the early days saw it as their duty to teach their kids about songs such as “Free Bird” and “The Ballad of Curtis Loew.” Many of those kids became parents themselves, and they’ve taught their own children about the wonders of Skynyrd’s extensive catalog of songs.

It’s always enjoyable to watch fan-made Skynyrd covers. But nothing can compare to the kid covers, which are performed by talented teens and youngsters all around the world. Now, prepare to watch what may be the cutest Skynyrd kid cover of all time, courtesy of a 9-year-old named Nick.

Nick and his brother Alex are fraternal twins with a passion for music. Their parents often share videos of the two young musicians playing their respective instruments: guitar for Nick and drums for Alex.

The two boys seem to have an appreciation for some of rock’s greatest songs. In the past, Nick has played everything from Led Zeppelin’s “Stairway to Heaven” to Guns N’ Roses’ “Sweet Child o’ Mine.”

Recently, Nick decided to throw a bit of Southern rock into the mix when his parents shared a video of him playing Skynyrd’s legendary hit, “Sweet Home Alabama.” He only played a short snippet of the song, which included its famous opening solo. He seemed excited to kick off the song, as he looked up at the camera and offered it a big grin before he started playing.

Granted, Nick’s performance wasn’t perfect. But he still rocked it, especially considering the fact that he’s only nine years old! Plus, his mistakes and slower pace can be forgiven because he looks downright adorable jamming out to “Sweet Home Alabama.”

Seriously, we’re warning you. This little fella will steal your heart with his guitar skills! Tune in to the clip below to watch what he can do!
