Blake Shelton: The World’s “Sexiest Man”
In case you don’t recall or didn’t hear the news, back in November 2017 People named Blake Shelton as the “Sexiest Man Alive.”
Shelton immediately took to Twitter to flaunt his new title, writing, “Don’t hate me because I’m beautiful.”

Since Season 13 of The Voice was in full swing at that point, you can bet that talk about Shelton’s sexy title dominated whenever he had the chance to speak. But well into Season 14, months later, Shelton was still making sure everyone remembered that he’s the sexiest man out there!
Taunting Trace With His Title
One outtakes clip from The Voice shows Shelton hanging with his team advisor and his own personal mentor, Trace Adkins. Over the years, Adkins has developed a decent tolerance of Shelton and his shenanigans, but even he wasn’t prepared when Shelton started bragging about how sexy he is.
We’re not sure how the conversation got started, but Shelton felt prompted to say this to Adkins in rehearsal:
“You’re one of those guys that say, ‘Man that’s bull crap the Patriots keep winning,'” Shelton said. “But they’re really good. I’m really sexy. That’s why I win sexiest man of the year. Look how sexy I am. Look at me.”
Trace Tunes Him Out
Shelton’s speech prompted Adkins to mutter under his breath as he reached for his coffee cup to try and avoid the conversation. He clearly wasn’t having any of it!
Of course Shelton wouldn’t let it be, and kept right on talking. “If it wasn’t true, I wouldn’t have the title,” he said.
That finally got Adkins to crack a little bit, and he couldn’t help but chuckle as he said, “If they only knew.”
