Country music star Chris Stapleton took to the stage of NBC‘s Today show to wow his audience with an incredible performance with his mother just beyond the front row.
Taking to the venue with his talented wife Morgane, the crooner began a phenomenal performance of his recently released song “Broken Halos”. The crowd fell silent as Stapleton’s piercing vocals kicked off the ballad, chilling viewers and fans.
“Seen my share of broken halos/ Folded wings that used to fly/ They’ve all gone wherever they go/ Broken halos that used to shine/ Broken halos that used to shine,” he effortlessly sang. His booming vocals alongside his wife’s flawless pitch had the audience mesmerized and speechless by the overload of talent and finesse.
The singer was incredibly humble when asked about his musical success, admitting to the morning hosts, “It’s a real treat.” Hoda Kotb pointed out Stapleton’s mother in the crowed, eagerly watching their interview with her camera at the ready. Upon being asked about the country star’s incredible talent and voice, his mother responded, “It is simply a gift from God.”
