On Sunday afternoon (July 10) at 4pm, a search began for a 19-year-old male who went missing after a tubing accident on Kentucky Lake in Tennessee.

It has been confirmed by multiple news outlets that the male in question is country singer Craig Morgan‘s son, Jerry Greer.

WKRN-2 News reports that Greer went missing when another tuber collided and Greer did not resurface. Authorities told the news station that he was wearing a life jacket at the time.

Search and rescue crews are using sonar equipment, which makes it capable to see clearly underwater. The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency has said that this piece of equipment has helped them make almost 30 recoveries in the past few years.

Craig Morgan’s record label confirmed the news with a statement, which reads:

“Recent Dickson County High School graduate Jerry Greer (19), son of country music entertainer Craig Morgan and wife Karen Greer, went missing yesterday following a boating accident on Kentucky Lake in Humphreys County, Tennessee. Recovery efforts to locate him are underway. The family is grateful for everyone’s support and prayers and requests privacy during this difficult time.”

Because of Morgan’s career in country music, he has made quite a few close friends and allies who are praying for his family and his son’s well-being.

Below are just a few of the well wishes his family has received from fellow country singers.

Our prayers continue to be with Craig Morgan and his family.
