Country Music Legend To Perform Live On ‘The Voice’

Television’s hit competition show The Voice has been stirring up the NBC network since its exceptionally talented competitors have been battling it out in what has been called one of the more energizing seasons yet! As the season reaches its peak and a new winning performer and coach is becoming closer and closer, the show has been amping up its star power for one season we’ll never forget. Formerly recruiting country music power couple Tim McGraw and Faith Hill as well as Garth Brooks, the show snagged one legendary artist that is sure to send their airing to new heights!

So who is this iconic performer? According to Broadway World, it is none other than country music’s finest sweetheart and trailblazer Dolly Parton. Set to perform live on Tuesday’s showing, which will feature that legendary lady partaking in two riveting numbers. Alongside the stellar a capella group Pentatonix, Parton will be harmonizing to her hit song “Jolene”, one in which the singer has already performed with the group in a former video that went more than viral! The singers will also be joined by Parton’s god-daughter Miley Cyrus, a current coach on the show that has been shocking viewers with her music knowledge and hunger for leadership.

In addition to her a capella number, Parton with be joining forces with longtime friend Jennifer Nettles and the remaining Season 11 Voice contestants for a performance of her newest release “Circle Of Love”. The song is showcased in her movie sequel Christmas Of Many Colors: Circle Of Love, an emotional and downright documentation of Parton’s childhood and the key components that instilled the values and success that the performer has carried along all this way. Nettles is a key character in the movie, playing Parton’s mother and earning endless praise from those who thoroughly enjoy her perfomance, as well as her never-ending talent.

Parton continues to be one of the most influential women in the history of country music, successfully charting over 110 singles throughout her career and composing over 3,000 songs. Although a clearly successful country music artist, the bombshell refused to limit her talent, venturing into the life of musicals with her unforgettable performances in the now classic 9 to 5 and The Best Little Whore House In Texas.
