Country Singing ‘Voice’ Finalist Announces Engagement

Another former member of Team Blake is about to tie the knot!

Corey Kent White turned two chairs during his blind audition during Season 8 of The Voice. Pharrell Williams and Blake Shelton battled it out to get White on their team and Shelton ultimately won. Hailing from Oklahoma himself, White felt the need to stay loyal to his fellow Okie.

White won fans over with an impressive version on Tim McGraw’s “Live Like You Were Dying” in the Knockout rounds and made it all the way to the Top 8. Throughout his time on The Voice, he sang Hunter Hayes’ “I Want Crazy”, Garth Brooks’ “Make You Feel My Love”, Jason Aldean’s “Why”, George Strait’s “Unwound”, and Bad English’s “I Want To See You Smile”.

Since The Voice, he’s released an EP and performed regularly around Texas, Tennessee, Oklahoma, and everywhere in between. He can now also celebrate his engagement!

In a simple Facebook post with the caption, “Here comes forever!”, and a picture of White and his now-fiancé, Dayna, showing off her ring, he announced the happy news.

Just a few days before the proposal, White admitted that he couldn’t sleep because he was “too excited about life.” Now we know why he was too excited to sleep!

Congratulations to the happy couple!
