After over a year of dating, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have put their romance on full display during the current season of The Voice. With the blind auditions well underway, Shelton, Stefani, Adam Levine, and Alicia Keys are all fighting to earn the best contestants for their team. The coaches’ hilarious banter is always a highlight of the blind auditons, and Shelton and Stefani’s flirtatious teasing makes it even better.
But as comfortable as everyone seems on set, Stefani recently confessed that she had some apprehensions about joining The Voice again. This is Stefani’s third season serving as a coach, with her last appearance occurring on Season 9. Shelton and Stefani started dating during that season, but mostly kept their flirtations under wraps while the cameras were rolling.
Now that Shelton and Stefani have been together for a little longer, she admits that she was “nervous” about what a new season of coaching together on The Voice would be like for them. Speaking Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet at the Kids’ Choice Awards on Saturday (March 11), Stefani explained her thoughts leading up to the new season of The Voice.
“I feel like when we were coming back this season, I was a little nervous,” she said. “I was like, ‘This is going to be weird!’ But, you know, the show is so real. All it is is us just being there and being us. So, it’s been really fun.”
Now that her initial jitters are gone, Stefani is just glad to have more time to spend with Shelton. “Obviously, any time I can be around Blake is a blessing,” she said
But Shelton wasn’t able to be at the Kids’ Choice Awards with Stefani. After hosting the Kids’ Choice Awards last year, Shelton was unable to attend the event with Stefani because he had a concert scheduled in San Diego. But Stefani made sure that she wasn’t alone! She brought along her three sons with her as her dates.
“I’m just so blessed to have them,” she said. “I have so much fun. They’re definitely hard work but it’s a lot of fun.”
