Gwen Stefani has something huge in store for this new year!
After an eventful 2016, Stefani’s 2017 is shaping up to be just as busy. It was announced in October that Stefani would return to The Voice as a coach for Season 12. The upcoming season, which is set to debut in February, will be Stefani’s third season coaching on the show. This season she’ll be competing against her boyfriend Blake Shelton, along with Alicia Keys and Adam Levine.
As if filming a new season of The Voice wasn’t enough, Stefani shared a big announcement about what else 2017 has in store for her. Stefani was thrilled to finally make the announcement, and her fans were just as excited!
In a short video Stefani shared to her Facebook page, she confirmed that she has taken on the role as Revlon’s new global brand ambassador for this year.
“New year, new news!” she said. “So happy to announce that I’ll be choosing love with Revlon as their new global brand ambassador.”

Makeup is one of Stefani’s main passions in life, making this new endeavor all the more exciting for her. Speaking in a statement, Stefani said she looks forward to sharing her passion for makeup through her role as Revlon’s new global brand ambassador.
“Ever since I was a young girl, I have used makeup as a form of self-expression,” she said. “I am passionate about makeup and how it can showcase your individuality and creativity. Partnering with an iconic beauty brand such as Revlon felt like a natural fit.”
Long before she became the pop superstar that she is today, Stefani worked at a makeup counter in the mall. In an interview with WWD, Stefani said she was able to get a job with the cosmetic line Borghese, despite having no formal training in makeup.
“I was a makeup artist when I was in my early twenties at the mall, they never trained me,” Stefani said. “I’d be like, ‘Let me put some makeup on you, let me show you what you could look like.’ I just remember making people feel so much joy and so inspired and so full of confidence, and that’s what makeup can do.”
Now as Revlon’s global brand ambassador, Stefani has certainly come a long way since her makeup artist days. She’s now looked up to as a beauty icon, with her red lips being her trademark look.
