Anyone who follows Jake Owen on social media can tell that he loves being a dad. The “American Country Love Song” singer is the proud father to a four-year-old daughter, Pearl. The brunette cutie is a frequent star on Jake’s social media accounts, and fans have fallen in love with her over the years.
Pearl lives with her mom, Jake’s ex-wife Lacey Buchanan, in Florida. So whenever Jake gets the chance to visit with his little girl, he makes the most of it.
It looks like the two decided to make some real happy memories together on Saturday (February 18). That day, Jake announced that he and Pearl had welcomed an adorable new addition to their family!
The father-daughter duo went to the Nashville Airport to pick up their newest family member…a cuddly German Shepherd puppy!
Jake shared that the cute pup is only three months old. He and Pearl hadn’t picked out a name for the ball of fluff at that time, so Jake called on his fans for help. “Still working on a good name… any suggestions?” Jake asked on Instagram. He also shared a sweet snapshot of his happy little family, and it is too cute to handle. Just look at the big smile on Pearl’s face!

Fans started pouring in their name suggestions for Jake and Pearl’s newest family member. Jake didn’t share whether the puppy is a boy or a girl, so fans offered him name suggestions for both. Several people suggested “Nash” as a name, and we think that’s fitting, since the pup is one of the newest residents of Music City!
Some other popular suggestions were Rudy, Bailey, and Bear. A lot of fans suggested naming the pup after country music legends. Cash, Waylon, and Possum were all thrown out there as possible names for the newest addition to the Owen family.
Jake hasn’t shared what they decided to name the puppy yet. Maybe it’s because they have so many suggestions to sort through! We’re sure that he and Pearl will end up picking a perfect name for their new buddy.
It’s obvious that Jake and Pearl make the most of their visits together. Jake has made a big impression on his little girl, and she’s already showing an interest in singing. During the Christmas season last year, Jake shared an adorable video of Pearl singing in his recording studio. She was only singing “Jingle Bells,” but she proved with that little performance that she has what it takes to be a star. Check out that video below.
