John Michael Montgomery is in mourning following the devastating loss of his dear and longtime friend, Kenny Shaw. In light of the tragic news, the country singer took to Facebook to honor Shaw with a meaningful post.
“I lost a dear & longtime friend this morning,
Kenny Shaw played bass guitar in my Dad and Mom’s band back in the 70’s & 80’s so He was part of the Montgomery Music family.
I will never forget our wonderful times together.
RIP Kenny
Love you man
And may GOD Bless your soul,” John Michael wrote in a Facebook status.
Shaw was a longtime friend of the entire Montgomery family, playing bass guitar in the family’s band. According to his Facebook post, John Michael was hit with the news of his friend’s passing yesterday morning (Feb. 21).
