There must be something in the water, because Nashville is experiencing a bit of a baby boom right now! It seems like the majority of today’s biggest country stars are currently expecting, and some have already welcomed new babies this year.
From Brantley Gilbert and his wife Amber Cochran to Thomas Rhett and his wife Lauren Akins, these country couples are about to add the title of “parents” to their already-full resumes. Looks like it’s time to start baby-proofing some tour buses!

John Carter & Ana Cristina Cash
The only child of Johnny and June Carter Cash, country singer-songwriter and producer John Carter Cash is already a father of three. Now, he’s about to welcome his first child with his wife, singer-songwriter Ana Cristina Cash, who he married in October 2016.
John’s rep confirmed the news to People in mid-April. The Cashes also shared a gender reveal video at the same time, and were overjoyed to announce that they are expecting a baby girl!

Ana is due in September, and can’t wait for when her baby girl arrives. “We are so thrilled that God is blessing us with a precious little girl,” she said. “My husband John Carter and I are completely over the moon about the news and we can’t wait for the arrival of our baby daughter.”
Chris and Kaitlyn Lucas
Chris makes up one half of the country duo LoCash, known for their hit songs such as “I Know Somebody” and “I Love This Life.” He and his wife, Kaitlyn, are already parents to son Caden and daughter Remi.
In February, the couple confirmed that they are expecting their third child, a girl, in early September. Kaitlyn has endometriosis, so the fact that she was able to conceive again is a blessing to her and Chris.
“I didn’t think Remi was going to be born,” Chris said during an interview at the Country Radio Seminar in Nashville. “And then she’s born and the doctor’s like ‘It’s a miracle!’ Ten months later…’It’s a miracle!’”
Clay and Jessica Walker
The “Rumor Has It” singer and his wife Jessica rocked the red carpet at the ACM Awards in April with some surprise pregnancy news. The two dropped a pretty big hint when Clay started placing his hand on Jessica’s belly while standing next to her for photos.
An official announcement was made on Clay’s social media accounts, as he shared a photo of him resting his hand on his wife’s belly. “Guess what:)…really…guess what..you’re the first to know:)!” he wrote.

Clay and Jessica have decided not to find out the gender of their child. As Clay told Rare Country, “We don’t ever find out. We just wait until it happens and then we know. There’s nothing like that surprise,” he said.
If they have a boy, the numbers will be even in their family! The couple are already parents to two sons and one daughter, and Clay also has two daughters with his first wife.
Rodney Atkins and Rose Falcon
Rodney Atkins and his wife, Rose Falcon, are one musical couple. Rodney is a country singer known for songs such as “Watching You” and “Cleaning This Gun” while Rose is a rock/country singer-songwriter whose work has been recorded by artists such as Faith Hill and Lady Antebellum.

Fans had been curious to know when Jason Aldean and his wife Brittany were planning to have a child of their own. Jason is already a father of two daughters, who he shares with his first wife Jessica Ussery.

The couple hosted a gender reveal party a few weeks later. Jason, Brittany, and Jason’s two daughters all popped a batch of balloons to reveal blue confetti. It’s a boy!
As for what they plan to name their son, Jason guarantees it won’t be “anything crazy like a direction,” but tells Entertainment Tonight that “it will be something unique and different.”
Tyler and Hayley Hubbard
Florida Georgia Line‘s Tyler Hubbard had some big news to share leading up to the CMT Music Awards. Hours before the ceremony, Tyler and his wife, Hayley, revealed that they are expecting their first child together.
The couple teamed with People to make the announcement, and shared an adorable photo featuring their dog, Harley. Tyler also confirmed the news on social media, writing, “God is so good and we can’t wait for this next chapter of our life.”

It was only a matter of days before the Hubbards hosted a gender reveal party. The two cut into a cake which was colored inside to reveal whether they’re having a boy or a girl. Once they cut into the cake, Tyler started dancing with joy when he saw that it was blue. But the couple was in for a surprise a couple of months later when they learned that the blood test was wrong…they’re actually having a girl!

Fans were overjoyed when Brantley Gilbert and his wife, Amber Cochran, revealed that they are expecting their first child. The couple released a statement to People in May to confirm the news, and shared a few photos to go along with the announcement.
Brantley and Amber have been trying to have a baby since they married in June 2015. But they struggled to conceive, and were told “it would be close to a miracle if it happened without IVF.”

The two decided not to move forward with IVF right away. It wasn’t long before Amber discovered she was pregnant, and Brantley was overwhelmed with happiness.
“I think I stared at [the pregnancy test] for at least two minutes without saying anything because I was literally in shock,” he said. “We’d been told it was just not in the cards, and I’m staring at this answer to many, many, many prayers.”
The two revealed the baby’s gender during a party in June, and did so in the most country way imaginable. Brantley shot at a target that either contained blue or pink dust to reveal whether they’re having a boy or a girl. When Brantley shot the target, a cloud of blue smoke erupted everywhere. It’s a boy!
“When the blue cloud went up, well, that made it even more real,” Brantley told People. “Now we know it’s a little boy, and he’s gonna have to get ready for a whole lot of love.”
Thomas Rhett and Lauren Akins
Thomas Rhett and his wife Lauren‘s pregnancy announcement was undoubtably the most surprising so far this year. In February, the couple was thrilled to announce that they were expecting not one, but two new babies!
But it’s not what fans thought at first…Lauren wasn’t expecting twins. Instead, the couple shared that they were adopting a baby from Africa and were preparing to welcome their first biological child as well.
“Our hearts are exploding with happiness for y’all to meet our new baby who we are bringing home from Africa soon,” Lauren wrote in her announcement, “who is also going to have a little brother or sister because, SURPRISE! there’s a sweet baby in my belly too.”

The couple later learned that they are expecting a girl, and eventually revealed that their adopted daughter was a girl as well. They brought daughter Willa Gray home from Uganda in May, and the little girl has been the star of their social media accounts ever since.
“Willa Gray Akins came home yesterday after completely stealing our hearts in Uganda over a year ago,” Lauren wrote on Facebook, “& we’re sooooo happy we just can’t stand it.”
Willa won’t get the chance to be the only child for long! Lauren is due to welcome baby girl number two in August.
