On June 16, 2018, Scotty McCreery and his childhood sweetheart, Gabi, married during a gorgeous ceremony in the North Carolina mountains. While Scotty and Gabi had known each other since kindergarten, their friendship didn’t turn romantic until six years ago.
The love that the couple feels for each other is perfectly captured in their many breathtaking wedding photos, such as the one below, which was taken at sunset.

Based on what Scotty told People in an interview prior to his wedding, he and Gabi would get the chance to see many more beautiful sunsets and sunrises on their honeymoon. As Scotty said, Gabi was quite clear about what she wanted from their honeymoon location.
“The one thing she really wanted was an over-water bungalow,” he said.
Well, that’s exactly what Gabi got, as the couple has been enjoying a relaxing tropical getaway in Bora Bora.
Wanting to enjoy some time away from the world, Scotty remained off of social media for a while after the wedding. But on Thursday (June 21) he finally took to Instagram to share the first photo from his honeymoon.

Scotty and Gabi still have a lot to look forward to once they return from their honeymoon. The two weren’t living together prior to the wedding, so they’re excited to finally move in with one another.
“I love my guys but it’ll be much nicer coming back from the road and seeing my wife instead of three motley dudes sitting on the couch!” Scotty joked in his interview with People.
This happy time in the couple’s relationship is marked by the recent release of Scotty’s latest single, “This Is It.” Its lyric video, much like the song itself, is inspired by Scotty’s proposal to Gabi. You can enjoy that video below.
