Appearing twice on Celebrity Apprentice and being named the winner of The All-Star Celebrity Apprentice back in 2013, Trace Adkins is no stranger to reality television. Between his experience in reality television and an esteemed career in country music, it wouldn’t be surprising for Adkins to join his longtime friend Blake Shelton on The Voice.

While Miley Cyrus and Jennifer Hudson are locked in as coaches alongside Voice veterans Adam Levine and Shelton for Season 13, the mentors remain up in the air. So will the “Ladies Love Country Boys” singer appear on NBC’s hit show in the coming months? Turns out, the country singers have discussed the possibility of just that.

“He said I was too mean,” said Adkins in an interview with Fox News. “He said some of these people are fragile and they don’t need to be subjected to me.”

Even though fans probably won’t see Adkins on The Voice anytime soon, you can catch him performing on PBS’ “A Capitol Fourth” star-studded televised event in celebration of the Fourth of July taking place in Washington, D.C. Paying tribute to our troops while simultaneously keeping up with the patriotic theme of the day, the country singer will perform his new single “Still A Soldier” which honors those who have sacrificed for our freedom.
