When this country couple is going to surprise one another – they don’t hold back!

Taking the stage during a recent tour stop in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, the bright and bubbly country queen wife of everyone’s beloved country crooner Garth Brooks, delivered the surprise of a lifetime to her hubby.

Trisha Yearwood, who has been touring with Garth for nearly three full years now on The Garth Brooks World Tour, has been known to pull out all the stops when giving him a surprise and this time is no different – in fact, she even recruited help!

Already crowned the CMA Entertainer of the Year and delivered record-breaking numbers with attendance for his new tour, you might think that there wasn’t any stone left unturned by Brooks and his charming wife, however, you would definitely be wrong.

While taking home the title of top-grossing tour in the world, Brooks also earned an honor not yet given to someone during his nine-night sold out run in Edmonton this last weekend.

In the middle of the concert, Yearwood stopped everything and had her husband come back out on stage immediately.

“We have some other special guests here tonight that even – Garth you don’t know about,” She said enthusiastically. “So I’m gonna ask you to come on out here!”

With that, Brooks popped back out on stage and the announcer took it away revealing that the special guests were Mike Evans and Jared Smith, the presidents of Ticketmaster North America and Live Nation Arenas, respectively.

Together, these two leaders of the concert ticketing and venue business on our continent shared in surprising Brooks with one of the biggest accomplishments of his career: selling the 5 millionth ticket of his tour!

This isn’t the first time Brooks has sold 5 million tickets during a tour, so with that in mind Evans and Smith brought out two massive awards featuring a timeless photo of Brooks and a commemorative plaque inset below the photo. Brooks first sold his 5 millionth ticket within the first 100 cities of his tour during the 90s, but his latest tour has been far more explosive. Brooks sold 5 million tickets in nearly half that number of cities, notching the 5,000,000 in just 60 cities!

But the surprises didn’t stop there!

After the jaw-dropping reveal of these stunning awards, Yearwood welcomed a representative from the Edmonton Oilers hockey team out to the stage where he shocked Brooks even more by revealing the Edmonton stadium’s massive banner honoring him that will be hung from the arena’s ceiling. Needless to say, Garth was speechless and thrilled to death!

And to top it all off, hockey legend Wayne Gretzky sent his congratulations and warm wishes to Brooks and Trisha with a heartfelt video message, saying, “I just wanted to say my congratulations to Garth Brooks on a great achievement. As you can tell, we have the greatest fans in the world in Edmonton and in Alberta. Congratulations to you and Trish on a wonderful night. Congratulations.”
