Country star Blake Shelton made his way to WannaB’s Karaoke Bar in Nashville for a bit of singing and a whole lot of fun. The crooner was greeted by a packed house of doting fans, in addition to NBC‘s Today Show host Hoda Kotb. Shelton approached the stage and thanked his fans for their support and addressed the partnership that he had drafted with the venue over the course of the last year. Seeing that this bar is known for its epic karaoke nights, television host Kotb used this opportunity to sneak in a quick two step with the country boy before kicking off a performance dedicated to Shelton.
However, it wasn’t a smooth entrance for Kotb, who assured her audience that she was a “mouther”, notorious in choir for simply mouthing the song’s words. As the intro to Shelton’s mega hit “Boys ‘Round Here” began to play, the host showcased her dancing abilities before losing her cue to sing! “Can we do it over?” Kotb asked, to which the song was replayed from the beginning. Asking her audience for assistance, Kotb was given her cue by Shelton himself, who was more than entertained by the woman’s vivacious energy and serious spunk.
The crowd cheered as she danced around the stage and put her heart and comedy into her entertaining performance. Fans were even sweet enough to offer the host their vocal assistance, chanting along from below the stage! It seems that the crowd was able to overlook that Kotb’s rocky opening in light of her bold personality and eagerness to show her crowd a great time!
