What do you get when you bring together a country superstar and a critically acclaimed actress? One of the most affectionate and loving marriages in country music.
Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman met in January 2005 at a Hollywood event called G’Day LA, an event set up to honor Australians. Urban was born in New Zealand and grew up in Australia, while Kidman was born in America to Australian parents who eventually moved with her to Australia. Six months after meeting, the two famous Aussies were an official couple.
On June 25, 2006, Urban and Kidman tied the knot in Sydney, Australia, and began their life together as husband and wife.
But their marriage faced challenges from the start. Just a few months after saying “I do,” Urban entered rehab in an attempt to break his cycle of addiction. It was actually Kidman who encouraged her husband to go to rehab. As a result, Urban has since credited her with saving his life.
Thanks to Kidman, Urban broke free from his addictions and has gone on to enjoy a happy marriage. They are now parents to two daughters named Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret.
After all of their years of marriage, Urban and Kidman are still named as one of the cutest couples at the red carpet events they attend. Their love for one another is evident, as made clear in the many adorable photos and videos taken of them on various occasions.

1. Goofing Off On Jimmy Fallon
In November 2016, Urban and Kidman joined each other for a dual appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The two teamed up to play a game with Fallon called the “Jinx Challenge.” What happened that night had everyone in the studio audience cracking up with laughter!
Kidman sat on Urban’s lap the entire time, and the two adorably bantered with one another as they tried to succeed at the game. Seriously, could they be any cuter?
2. The Picture Of Love
Urban was treating his wife like a queen on the red carpet of the Costume Institute Gala in May 2016. With cameras flashing all around them, Urban created an intimate moment when he reached out to his wife.
That’s when Urban placed a delicate kiss on Kidman’s hand, and the moment was photographed for all to remember. Kidman was absolutely glowing!
3. Gushing About Each Other At The SAG Awards
Just as Kidman gets the chance to attend her fair share of music awards shows, Urban is almost always by her side during the busy awards season for films. In 2017, Kidman was nominated for her fourth Academy Award for her role in the film Lion. She was also nominated for a Screen Actor’s Guild Award for the same role, and Urban was right by her side on the red carpet.
When asked how she learned the news of her Academy Award, Kidman revealed that Urban was the first person to tell her. She was in Paris at the time, and Urban called her with the happy news.
“I was in Paris, can you believe it, for the day, and Keith was the one that called me with the girls, screaming,” she said. “I started crying, it was really really touching.”
Urban went on to gush about his wife, explaining how much the moment meant to him as well. “It was euphoric,” he said. “I was so elated. It was like a win for me. I felt like I won, it was beautiful.”
4. Being Downright Adorable At The Academy Awards
Speaking of the Academy Awards, Urban was also on hand as Kidman’s date when it was time for the big night. The two stole the show with their adorable displays of affection.

5. Making Red Carpet Memories
While walking the red carpet at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival, Urban and Kidman shared a touching moment that was caught on camera for the world to see. It’s not at all unusual for Urban and Kidman to show some PDA on the red carpet, but what happened that day was sweeter than anything we’ve witnessed between the two before.
Out of nowhere, Urban grabbed his wife’s hand and pulled her close to whisper something in her ear. The two shared an embrace, when Urban whispered something else that brought tears to Kidman’s eyes. Although we have no idea what he said, Kidman’s reaction shows us that she will always treasure that moment.
6. Celebrating A Big Win
Urban made a clean sweep at the 2017 CMT Music Awards, taking home an award in every category he was nominated in. Kidman attended the ceremony with him, and sat next to him in the audience.

7. When They Lip-Synced “The Fighter”
Long before Urban and Carrie Underwood were tearing up the charts with their duet “The Fighter,” he joined his beautiful wife to perform a lip-sync version in their car. As adorable as the video was, no one expected the response that it received.
The original Facebook video of Urban and Kidman’s duet has millions of views since it was uploaded in May 2016. The viral success of the video is likely a huge part of the reason why Urban went on to win the Social Superstar award at the 2017 CMT Music Awards. And of course, Kidman was right there to watch him accept the award.
