Congratulations are in order for country singer Casey James and his wife Kelli! The married couple of three years welcomed a daughter in February 2016 and are now proud parents to a son!
James, who rose to fame after competing on the ninth season of American Idol, introduced his fans to their newest “blessing” with an adorable photo of his son, Maverick Pierce James.
“Thank you Jesus for this amazing blessing. Ladies and Gentlemen, I introduce to you my son. Maverick Pierce James. The best gift for Christmas season that I could ever ask for,” he captioned the photo, which he posted on Sunday (Dec. 17).

James announced his wife’s pregnancy on Instagram in June, with the help of their daughter.

James was a fan favorite on American Idol in 2009, finishing third behind winner Lee DeWyze and runner-up Crystal Bowersox. He released a self-titled album in 2012 that produced the singles “Let’s Don’t Call It A Night,” “Cryin on a Suitcase, ” and “The Good Life.”
