A Surprise Duet In Detroit

During Kenny Chesney‘s 2016 concert in Detroit, the crowd was in for a big surprise when he announced a special guest waiting backstage, who was also a hometown boy. So who was it? Kid Rock!

The audience went wild when Rock strolled onto the stage. First, he joined Chesney in singing his song “Cowboy,” which he released in 1999.

Another Surprise Duet

The duo had another surprise in store. They delighted fans with another song, opting to choose a country classic, “You Never Even Called Me by My Name.”

“You Never Even Called Me by My Name” was originally released by David Allan Coe in 1975. It’s now considered to be one of the most iconic songs in country music history.

The crowd joined in as Rock and Chesney performed “You Never Even Called Me by My Name” in Detroit. They were singing along to the classic hit with an intense amount of energy!
