Anyone who has ever experienced heartbreak knows that the bathroom is a good place to be alone with your emotions, and someone who is no stranger to heartbreak is Miranda Lambert.

Alone with nothing but her acoustic guitar and her raw emotion, the country singer sat on the floor of her bathroom for an intimate performance of one of her saddest songs ever recorded, “Tin Man.”

The video, shot entirely in black and white, features Lambert wearing a destroyed white T-shirt leaning up against a cold tiled wall singing the heart-wrenching lyrics. The natural acoustics of the bathroom paired with the singer’s stunning vocals make for an overall perfect performance.

Pulling inspiration from the 1939 American film, The Wizard of Oz, which features a man-made of tin longing for a heart, Lambert tells the story of a woman explaining to the “Tin Man” that if he was to know what it’s like to feel heartbreak, he would no longer want one.

“Hey there Mr. Tin Man/You don’t know how lucky you are,” Miranda passionately sang. “By the way there Mr. Tin Man/If you don’t mind the scars/You give me your armor/And you can have my heart.”

“Tin Man” is featured on the award-winning album The Weight of These Wings and was co-written by Lambert, Jack Ingram, and Jon Randall.
