14-Year-Old Films Herself Singing Patsy Cline’s ‘She’s Got You’

Decades have passed since the world lost American sweetheart Patsy Cline following the tragic crash of her private plane on March 5, 1963. While there will never be another quite like her, the music she left behind keeps her legacy alive.

A 14-year-old girl by the name of Emily channeled the spirit of Cline in a moving rendition of “She’s Got You,” showing off her stunning vocals in a video uploaded to her personal YouTube account. For being as young as she is, this gal can really sing!

The young talent sang along to the music track, with her melodic voice flawlessly nailing each emotionally-charged lyric.

“I’ve got the records, we used to share / And they still sound the same, as when you were here,” Emily sang with passion. “The only thing different, the only thing new / I’ve got the records … she’s got you.”

Cline released “She’s Got You” in 1962 as a single and it immediately hit number one on the Hot Country &Western Sides chart in addition to peaking at number14 on Billboard’s all-genre Hot 100 chart. Since its release, the song has been recorded a multitude of times, most notably by the legendary Loretta Lynn who took the song back to the number one spot on the country charts in 1977.
