The brave men and women of the United States military leave their loved ones to fight for the safety of the nation for weeks, months, years, or sometimes permanently. In honor of the friends they’ve lost and the loved ones they’re apart from, the Six-Strings Soldiers deliver a chilling rendition of Pink Floyd’s “Wish You Were Here.”

We’d like to dedicate this song to some people we love and miss,” one of the soldiers said prior to their performance. “If there’s some people you’re thinking of, and you’d like to give them a shout-out in the comments below, please do.”

The talented servicemen performed the ’70s rock song in the woods, the natural acoustics of the environment was audibly apparent throughout their tear-jerking performance. The men, who were missing one of their regular band mates, showcased their unparalleled talent during their rendition of Pink Floyd’s classic that could break even the coldest of hearts.

The Six-String Soldiers are an acoustic band who met while serving in the United States Army, shortly after forming a band with the hope of sharing their personal experiences they’ve had while serving their country.
