LeAnn Rimes has been in the public eye since her country music debut at age 11.  She’s lived almost her entire life being a public figure and often times, her personal life is at the center of tabloid stories.

7. She Has To Lie On The Floor When She Writes Music

Throughout her decades-long career, Rimes has turned into quite the songwriter. Her last non-Christmas album, Spitfire, featured her as a co-writer on eight of the thirteen tracks. She revealed to Us Weekly that her writing process is a tad unconventional.

“I prefer to lie on the floor whenever I am creating or writing. It’s my happy place,” she said.

6. She Loves Sports

These days, she is seen on the sideline at her stepsons’ soccer games, but turns out Rimes loves playing sports herself!“I’d play softball daily if I could,” she revealed to Us Weekly.

5. She Doesn’t Care About Superstition

When you think of Friday the 13th, or black cats, good thoughts don’t come to mind! For Rimes, the opposite occurs.

“I like the number 13 and black cats. I see them as lucky instead of a curse.”

Whatever floats your boat, LeAnn, but we just hope we’re never near her when she does see a black cat on Friday the 13th!

4. Her Celebrity Crush Is Twice Her Age

LeAnn Rimes admits to have read the book The Dude and The Zen Master a few years ago, and fell in love with one of the authors, actor Jeff Bridges.

He’s appeared in films such as Crazy Heart, True Grit, Tron, and Thunderbolt and Lightfoot. He also has a huge passion for music and has even performed at the famous Stagecoach country music festival in Indio, California.

3. Numbers Are Her Thing

You know when you look at the clock and make a wish if you see it’s 11:11? That might happen to the average person once in a while, but for LeAnn Rimes, it happens just about everyday. And multiple times!

“I pay attention to numbers,” she revealed to Us Weekly. “I see 11:11, 1:11, 2:22, 3:33, 4:44 and 5:55 almost daily.”

That’s a lot of wishes for someone who isn’t superstitious!

2. Her First Acting Gig Was On A Daytime Soap

While we all know Rimes infamously met her now-husband while they were filming the Lifetime Movie Northern Lights, that wasn’t her first time acting! In fact, her first time in front of a camera was when she was just 16-years-old on one of her favorite TV shows.

She played teen runaway Madison on the popular soap opera Days Of Our Lives for one episode. She later went on to make appearances in Drop Dead Diva and Charlie Sheen’s FX show Anger Management.

When she made her country music debut at 11-years-old, she was prepping for high school at the same time! Yep, high school!

Rimes revealed to Us Weekly that she skipped TWO grades and started ninth grade at age twelve, while most students are 14.
