Australian homeowners, living in Diddillibah off the Queensland coast, met an expected curious guest cruising around the house. The guest was a highly venomous brown snake, known to be one of the most toxic snakes in the world.
Stuart McKenzie who works in a snake catching company shared footage of the snake on Facebook. In the video, the snake is seen sliding on the front porch of the house and making his way to one of the glass windows of the house.
“This snake has basically come on the back deck of this home and he is super duper curious, he is just cruising around minding his own business.” Stuart shared on Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers 24/7.
While trying to access the property, the curious creature touched his head and body along the window before understanding that there was no way in. The family inside the house made a safe choice by closing all the windows and outside doors. In addition, they made sure all the family members and pets were safely inside the house.
“Yes, by the looks of it in this video the brown snake is trying to get inside. He doesn’t necessarily know it is actually inside someone’s house, he just thinks of it as somewhere else he can explore and find a bit of shelter and food.” Stuart said.
The family who sent the footage to Stuart explained that the snake left the house without the need of calling the snake assistance service. However, as wet weather is expected in the coming days, there is a probability to encounter more snakes. Fortunately, in this incident, both the family and the snake are safe!
