Kane Brown initially made his claim to fame after a series of videos uploaded to his Facebook went viral featuring the singer covering iconic country songs of the past. Fast forward to 2017 and the singer is selling platinum records and charting No.1 singles of his very own.
Debuting his most recent project and what is surely shaping up to be anthem of the heartbroken, Brown teased an unreleased song via his social media accounts in the form of heartbreaking country tune, “It Ain’t You It’s Me.”
The country singer shared a video shot inside his car with the camera focused on a single red rose, creating a romantic overall feel. However, when you listen closer, the song possesses some of the most heart-wrenching lyrics you will ever hear.
“It ain’t you if who’s going through hell/ it ain’t you with a heart to sell/ It ain’t you ridin’ around this town with a ghost in the shotgun seat/ It ain’t you who’s been tryin’ to call, it ain’t you who still misses it all,” sings Brown.
The 23-year-old country singer released his self-titled debut album in December 2016, since releasing an upgraded deluxe version of the certified Gold album with an additional four songs.
