The aftermath of Hurricane Helene has left thousands of people devastated, many losing nearly everything. In North Carolina, Florida, Georgia, and Eastern Tennessee, thousands of homes have been destroyed, leaving families without shelter, food, and water. The storm’s destruction has also resulted in over a hundred people still missing, with reports confirming at least 120 fatalities. Recovery efforts are ongoing as communities work to rebuild and provide relief to those affected.
Morgan Wallen Donates Six Figures to Support Victims of Hurricane Helene
On September 30, country music star Morgan Wallen and his foundation were announced to have donated $500,000 to the American Red Cross to aid victims in Eastern Tennessee whose lives were affected by the tropical storm.
Wallen, who is from the area, felt it was important to support his hometown. On his Instagram page, he shared his commitment to contribute where he can, stating that he will continue to help through his team and others working to repair the damage caused by Hurricane Helene.
“My family in East Tennessee are safe but I know many are absolutely devastated there and in multiple states,” Wallen wrote on his Instagram story on Sunday. “Those hills and hollers are very important to me in so many ways. It is going to take a monumental effort and I am in contact with my team and others working on ways I can help.”

Wallen’s donation is one of the largest sums recorded to go directly to Hurricane Helene victims. In a statement shared with Knox News, Trevor Riggin, the Red Cross’ national president for humanitarian services, said:
“We can’t thank Morgan Wallen enough for his heart and generous $500,000 donation to impact help on the ground now in the areas affected by Hurricane Helene, including his beloved East Tennessee.”

This isn’t the first time Wallen’s foundation has donated a lot of money to help communities in need. According to their official website, the Morgan Wallen Foundation was established in 2021 to ensure that young people have access to the same opportunities he had in sports and music growing up. Additionally, $3 from every concert ticket Wallen sells goes directly to the foundation, supporting efforts to build and revamp parks, music, and sports organizations for kids and young adults.
Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by Hurricane Helene.
