Country fans have been following Joey+Rory’s story for some time now. Rory Feek started a blog about his life with his wife, who was battling cancer at the time, and raising their young daughter who has Down Syndrome.
The world fell in love with their family and hearts were shattered when Joey passed away after two long, hard battles with ovarian cancer. Since her passing, her husband has been working tirelessly to keep her legacy alive.
Just recently, he released a documentary of their lives together called To Joey With Love for limited engagements. The DVD version is currently available for pre-order here.
Nominated for Vocal Duo of the Year, Joey+Rory will be well represented at the 2016 CMA awards. Rory revealed, in a sweet Facebook post, that he will be taking his late wife’s parents to the show with him.
“Your mama and daddy are going to be beside me at the CMA Awards this evening, but you will be in my heart my love,” he captioned the picture of a framed photo of the duo on stage sharing a kiss.
Rory’s love for his bride will never fade, and he continues to prove this every chance he gets. Good luck to Joey+Rory tonight! We know the entire arena will feel Joey’s spirit.
