An unexpected, yet highly-celebrated collaboration has brought together this country-born singer with a 70s icon in a remix of both old and new songs.

Miley Cyrus, the daughter of country crooner Billy Ray Cyrus, and goddaughter to Dolly Parton released her single “Midnight Sky” in August 2020 which took drew inspiration from Stevie Nicks’ own song “Edge of Seventeen.”

Before releasing “Midnight Sky,” Miley went to Stevie to get her blessing on the track, and she happily gave it.

Now, following up on the success of the song, Miley and Stevie have collaborated to truly remix the song and include “Edge of Seventeen” in a whole new way.

Before the release of the remix, Miley announced her next studio album would be titled Plastic Hearts and is scheduled to drop on November, 27th, 2020. Stevie Nicks herself also released new music last month with the debut of her first new project in six years – a song called “Show Them the Way.”

Together, “Midnight Sky” and “Edge of Seventeen” fit like a glove, so the remix was clearly something that was an easy “yes” from both sides.

The new tune, titled “Edge of Midnight,” features the unmistakable intro segment to Stevie Nicks’ 1982 mega-hit and then moves into the lyrics of “Midnight Sky” before returning to “Edge of Seventeen.”

This is truly a one-of-a-kind collaboration and one fans of both Stevie Nicks and Miley Cyrus are likely to enjoy.
