Chris Stapleton’s long-awaited sophomore album From A Room: Volume 1 dropped on May 5, and did not disappoint. Though we had already heard “Broken Halos” from his performance at Dolly Parton’s Smoky Mountains Rise benefit, we didn’t know much else until the days leading up to the release.

Within hours of its release on iTunes, the album¬†was already at No. 1 in the country genre and rising on the Billboard charts. In less than a month’s time, it has already reached the No. 1 spot on the Billboard country albums chart and is sitting pretty at No. 2 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart.

Although he has performed “Broken Halos”, the first single from the album is titled “Either Way”. It has already made waves in the country scene and is currently rising the charts. You may remember Lee Ann Womack including her version on her 2008 album Call Me Crazy.

As with any rising country song, there are plenty of covers already, but this one stood out to us for so many reasons. ¬†This talented 14-year-old named Emily Ann decided to cover “Either Way” and she completely blew us away. She takes a different approach than Stapleton singing it in a higher register, but the fact a person so young can channel the right emotion needed for this song is truly impeccable.

Enjoy her “Either Way” cover – we know we did.
