In 1998, Luke Bryan, who was a senior at Georgia Southern University, first laid eyes on freshman Caroline Boyer at a little bar near campus called Dingus Magee’s. For Luke, it was love at first sight.
“It took me eight seconds to figure it out—and it took her about eight years to figure it out,” he told The Boot. “I had to drink a lot before I could go talk to her, but I did. Somehow I managed to ease over there and somewhat be charming. It was one of those situations for me, it was like, ‘Who is that and how do I go talk to her? And, yep, I’m going to marry that girl.'”
They started dating after their first meeting, but ended up breaking up for five-and-a-half-years before getting back together for good. They reconnected when Luke was back in town playing a show and they began emailing back and forth. He invited her to his family’s Christmas party, and they’ve been together ever since.

They were married on December 8, 2006 in Turks & Caicos.

Luke and Caroline welcomed their first child in 2008, a son named Thomas Boyer Bryan – who goes by “Bo” – and in August 2010, Tatum Christopher Bryan – also known as “Tate” – joined the family.

In 2014, Caroline and Luke took in their nieces and nephew, Jordan, Kris and Til Cheshire when Luke’s brother-in-law Ben Cheshire, suddenly passed away seven years after Luke’s sister, Ben’s wife, unexpectedly died in 2007.
