A New Actor Joins The Cast Of Y: Marshals To Play A Character Close To Kayce Dutton
The pieces are falling into place for the Yellowstone spin-off Y: Marshals, as a new actor has joined the cast of the upcoming series.
Y: Marshals will follow Kayce Dutton (played by Luke Grimes) as he takes a new path in life. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show’s official logline reads as follows.
“[Kayce becomes part of an] elite unit of U.S. Marshals, combining his skills as a cowboy and Navy SEAL to bring range justice to Montana, where he and his teammates must balance family, duty and the high psychological cost that comes with serving as the last line of defense in the region’s war on violence.“

Grimes recently shared a post that seemed to hint that filming is about to start. Hopefully, Y: Marshals remains on track for its projected premiere on CBS in early 2026.
Not much is known about the cast of Y: Marshals. Of course, Grimes is part of the team, but it’s yet to be announced if other Yellowstone stars will participate in the series. There is hope we’ll see past characters again, as Grimes has teased the return of some “familiar faces.”
The show will also feature a wealth of new cast members, including Logan Marshall-Green. The actor was recently cast to play a key character close to Kayce.
The Hollywood Reporter and other outlets, such as Deadline, state that Marshall-Green will play Pete Calvin, a friend of Kayce’s from his time in the military.
What Is Logan Marshall-Green Known For?
So, who is Logan Marshall-Green? The actor made his debut in 2003 in an episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. He appeared in his first full-length film, Alchemy, in 2005.
More movies followed, as Marshall-Green landed roles in projects such as Prometheus (2012), The Invitation (2015), Upgrade (2018), and Carry-On (2024).
Marshall-Green also has a nice collection of TV credits. He was part of the main cast on multiple shows, including Traveler, Dark Blue, Quarry, Damnation, The Defeated, and Big Sky.
Marshall-Green’s name has recently been in the spotlight thanks to his role in the Sex and the City sequel series And Just Like That. He plays Adam in the show’s third and final season, which is set to conclude on August 14.
In addition to appearing in Y: Marshals, Marshall-Green has been cast in the film The Odyssey, which is slated for a July 2026 premiere.
