6 Reasons Why Carrie Underwood Makes The World A Better Place

Ever since she won American Idol, Carrie Underwood has been country music’s sweetheart. Her devoted fans look up to her as a source of inspiration, and for more reasons than one.

While Underwood’s vocal talent is obviously admirable, there are countless other ways that she contributes to this world. From helping through charity to simply putting a smile on people’s faces, there are many ways that Underwood helps make the world a better place.

Today, we’re running through six of those reasons in this list. Once you’re done, you’re sure to have even more respect for the wonderful person Underwood is. 

She Established A Charity

In 2009, Underwood established her own charity, the Checotah Animal, Town, and School Foundation. According to the organization’s website, its mission is “to improve [Underwood’s hometown of] Checotah, Oklahoma by assisting with causes, fulfilling needs, and providing services to the community and surrounding area.”

Funds raised through the C.A.T.S. Foundation have gone on to support a variety of causes, from buying musical instruments for the schools to building a new animal shelter. “My hometown is extremely supportive of me and I feel blessed to be able to create something as a way of giving back; to say thank you,” Underwood said in a statement quoted on the organization’s website.

There’s no doubt that Underwood and C.A.T.S. have been a great help to her hometown community!

She’s A Supportive Friend

Whether it be through a kind word or a personalized gift, Underwood always knows how to make her friends feel special. 

As one example, Underwood surely brightened Jana Kramer‘s day in 2016 when she sent her a bouquet of congratulatory flowers to celebrate her Dancing With the Stars debut. Or just look at the above post she wrote to wish Dolly Parton a happy birthday in 2018, in which she wrote, “You inspire everyone who is blessed enough to be around you!”

We have a feeling that Underwood’s friends likely feel the same way about her!

She Has The Voice Of An Angel

This list wouldn’t be complete without mentioning Underwood’s gorgeous voice. Just through her natural-born talent, Underwood has managed to brighten the world and bring joy to others.

Her angelic vocals have been praised by critics and fans of all genres. This serves as even greater proof of how her voice has the incredible power to touch the hearts of others.

She Serves As A Source Of Inspiration

Much in the way that Underwood inspires her friends by showing them kindness, she does the same for her fans. Like Underwood, her most devoted fans have an intense passion for helping others, hence why they call themselves her Care Bears. 

In addition to just inspiring others to be good people, Underwood also encourages them to chase their goals, especially when it comes to fitness and athletics. So when Underwood debuted her powerful sports anthem “The Champion,” it came as no surprise that it motivated others to reach for the stars.

Underwood could have just recorded the song and left it there. But instead, she served as a further source of inspiration by sharing and applauding the efforts of fans who crafted dances and workouts to “The Champion.” Now that’s going the extra mile!

She Never Shies From Sharing Her Faith

From the get-go, Underwood has always been open about sharing her faith with her fans. Because of this, she has never shied away from singing songs with Christian influences and themes.

When you think about it, some of Underwood’s most influential songs are her faith-based ones. Just a short list of them include “Jesus Take the Wheel,” “Something in the Water,” and “Temporary Home.” It’s hard to listen to any of these songs without feeling loved and inspired.

As long as Underwood continues to share her faith through song, she will continue to change lives, thus making the world an even better place.

She Makes Us Laugh

From her jokes and comical skits with Brad Paisley at the CMA Awards to her goofy dancing in the music video for “The Fighter,” Underwood always knows how to make others laugh.

Maybe the reason why Underwood is so good at making people happy is because she loves laughter. In 2017 she shared an audio clip of her son Isaiah giggling with the caption, “Sometimes the most beautiful music isn’t music.”

While speaking about her son with CMT, Underwood said that her “greatest wish” for him is to find happiness. Knowing how hard she tries to make her fans happy, that doesn’t surprise us at all.
