90-Year-Old Grandma Rewrites ‘I Fall To Pieces’ And Dedicates It To Senior Citizens

Growing old takes a toll on your body, but this woman who had recently turned 90 years old can see the comical side of things. In a video posted to her granddaughter Tifany Richardson’s social media accounts, this spunky grandma named Vera rewrote a country classic to be about growing older.

That classic country song she rewrote was to the tune of “I Fall To Pieces” by Patsy Cline.

Does anybody remember Patsy Cline and ‘I Fall To Pieces?‘” she asked the folks attending her birthday party. “Well, I rewrote it and I dedicated it to seniors and it’s ‘We Fall To Pieces.’ And if any of you young people think it’s not true, I have news for you!

Her warning sent her guests, and those watching the video from home, into a fit of laughter.

She began playing her guitar and singing a familiar tune, comically trading out the Hank Cochran and Harlan Howard-written lyrics for ones of her own.

Vera hysterically started the song out with the lyrics, “We fall to pieces/Just when it’s time to have fun/We fall to pieces/From our lab work that we’ve done.

From joking about buying an RV to see the country and saving for the Golden Years, to bending down and not being able to get up, Vera obviously looks on the bright side of life and we love that she is sharing her great attitude with the world.

People on the Internet are obviously loving her song, seeing as the video has been viewed on Facebook over five million times! Watch her comical, yet inspiring, performance of “We Fall To Pieces” below.
