American Idol 2025 Is Filled With Moments Of Faith
This year’s season of American Idol is filled with moments of faith, featuring artists performing songs with Christian themes and a special three-hour gospel episode for Easter.
The Easter episode is titled “Songs of Faith” and will air on April 20.
This special will include performances by artists such as CeCe Winans, Roman Collins, Jelly Roll, Brandon Lake, and The Brown Four.

Canaan James Moved The Judges With His Gospel Voice
Canaan James brought the judges to church with his rendition of Earnest Pugh’s “I Need Your Glory.” His moving performance earned him a Platinum ticket.
Lionel Richie was so moved by his singing that he began to pace as the judges deliberated. Watch below.

Baylee Litrell Sang An Original About Finding Faith
Baylee Litrell sang an original song he wrote called “Hey Jesus.” The young singer wrote the song about his late grandmother.
Baylee is the son of Brian Thomas Littrell, who you probably know as a member of the Backstreet Boys.

Drew Ryn Also Sang An Original About Jesus
Drew Ryn followed suit by singing an original song about faith. Her song is titled “Walk on Water.” Watch below.
Drew Ryn shared a video of her and her fellow Idol contestants worshipping together. The spontaneous moment is a culmination of the artists who are bringing faith to the American Idol stage.
In the caption, she wrote a Bible verse from Matthew, one of Jesus’s 12 disciples and the author of one of the four gospels.
Matthew 18:19-20: “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”
The text on the screen was:
“When American Idol contestants all feel the power of God.”
