Beloved Country Hitmaker Involved In Bad Car Accident

Jason Michael Accident

From the time he was discovered at a talent show in 2004, it only took two years before Jason Michael Carroll signed his first major record deal. His debut album, Waitin’ in the Country, served as the springboard for three Top 40 singles, including the Top Ten hits “Alyssa Lies” and “Livin’ Our Love Song.”

Since then, Carroll has released three more albums and has seen a number of other singles chart at impressive rankings. This year, he has a few shows schedule throughout the winter and spring, with stops in cities such as Norfolk and Indianapolis.

While he has quite a bit to look forward to, Carroll has been going through a bit of a rough patch here lately. As he shared on Facebook on February 5, his beloved dog, Blocker, is not feeling well and has a bit of fluid buildup. The vet was able to rule out a few things, but the cause of Blocker’s symptoms is still unknown.

As if taking care of a sick dog wasn’t stressful enough, Carroll shared with his fans on Thursday (February 8) that he was involved in a pretty bad car accident after dropping his kids off at school in the morning. Carroll revealed he was slowing down to make a turn when a woman pulled out in front of him.

Carroll walked away from the accident, and didn’t list any injuries except for a headache. He didn’t say anything about the other driver’s condition. Both vehicles were pretty banged up, though Carroll’s clearly suffered less serious damage.

As Carroll shared, he was driving his father-in-law’s Volvo at the time of the crash. He made it clear that he felt the car kept him safe, writing, “If this doesn’t make you think twice about the safety of the car you’re driving, it should.”

Even though Carroll hasn’t been having the greatest of weeks, he still seems grateful. “Could always be worse I reckon,” he wrote along with a photo of the accident.

We’re so glad that Carroll wasn’t seriously hurt in the accident. We’ll be keeping him and his family in our prayers as they continue to face this challenging week.
