It was the request heard ’round the world. During a Facebook Live interview, the Dancing With The Stars Season 24 contestant and professional bull rider turned heartthrob Bonner Bolton revealed that despite having heavy chemistry with his partner early on, he has his sights set on someone else from the show.
The week he was voted off, fellow contestant Normani Kordei revealed that she thought he was a Southern gentleman and even included him in her country-themed dance that week. This sparked rumors of a fling, which Bolton addressed with Entertainment Tonight during the Facebook Live interview.
“You know what, I love that girl,” he confessed of the Fifth Harmony singer. “She is just so beautiful inside and out, when she walks in the room, the whole room lights up.”
He continued to gush about her, saying, “She is such a sweetheart and [was] an encouragement to me the whole time I was there. She’s obviously the top performer that came on the show, who’s out there killin’ it in her real life every day. I respect her and admire her a whole lot and I really am thankful she asked me to be a part of her number, that was super special.”
“Normani, it would be an honor to go on a date with you, ma’am,” he said looking in to the camera.
This statement sent the Internet abuzz and several media outlets went straight to Kordei to see what she had to say about it, which was, “Yes! I will go out with you!”
After Tuesday night’s (May 23) finale, ET caught up with both Kordei and Bolton, separately, to see if a date was still in the cards.
She stayed coy by saying, “We’ll see what happens, I’ll let you know,” but Bolton revealed he was giving her space to focus on rehearsing for the finale.
“I haven’t come up with the best strategy because we’ve all been so busy. I hope that after everything settles down, I’ll have the opportunity to ask,” he said.
