Dolly Parton Announces Las Vegas Residency
Earlier this year, country music icon Dolly Parton announced that she was heading to Las Vegas for a special six-show residency this upcoming December.
The limited run of performances were set to take place at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
Not long after tickets went on sale, Ticketmaster announced that all six shows had sold out in less than an hour and a half. Caesars Palace then confirmed the news shortly after with a post on their social media.

Dolly’s Forced To Postpone The Shows
On Sunday (September 28), Dolly broke the news to fans that she had been forced to postpone the residency due to unforeseen “health challenges.”
“I want the fans and public to hear directly from me that, unfortunately, I will need to postpone my upcoming Las Vegas concerts. As many of you know, I have been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures. As I joked with them, it must be time for my hundred thousand mile checkup, although it’s not the usual trip to see my plastic surgeon!” Dolly told fans on social media.
The country music icon explained that she wanted to put on her best show, and would not be able to give fans the experience they hoped for at this time.
Dolly assured everyone that she was not going anywhere, but the 79-year-old does feel God is calling her to “slow down” from her incredibly busy schedule.
“In all seriousness, given this, I am not going to be able to rehearse and put together the show that I want you to see, and the show that you deserve to see. You pay good money to see me perform, and I want to be at my best for you,” she said.
Dolly’s Broadway Musical To Continue As Scheduled
The upcoming Dolly-inspired Broadway show, Dolly: A True Original Musical is, however, continuing as planned and will not be rescheduled due to the singer’s health concerns.
“The news from the weekend will not affect our development process or timeline for production,” a representative from the show told Deadline.
The musical, which premiered to a sold-out run this July at the Fisher Center for the Performing Arts on the campus of Belmont University in Nashville, is expected to begin on Broadway in 2026.
The production will feature many of Dolly’s beloved original hits, along with new songs exclusive to the show. The producers will have three actors portraying Dolly Parton at different stages of her life.
According to the official website, “this joyful and moving new musical will take you inside the literal rags-to-riches story of Dolly Parton and give you new insight into her triumphs, trials, and trailblazing. Directed by Tony Award® winner Bartlett Sher with a book by Dolly Parton and Maria S. Schlatter.”
