Bert Kreischer’s Tour Bus Bursts Into Flames
Over the weekend, Bert Kreischer’s tour bus burst into flames.
The scary situation happened when Bert and his team were traveling from Fargo, North Dakota, to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, for a scheduled show.
Along the way, a front tire on the comedian’s tour bus blew out, leaving them suddenly stranded on the side of Interstate 94.
No one, not even the driver, knew why the tire blew out, since they hadn’t hit anything. But Bert soon realized that it might have been fate stepping in.
If the accident hadn’t happened, he and his crew could have been in much worse danger.
The next day, Bert posted a photo on his Instagram, showing that the bus he and several others had been on had gone up in flames. Luckily, nobody was injured.
Speaking with PEOPLE, Bert explained just how close they had come to disaster.
How A Busted Tire Saved Everyone’s Life
He said everyone had decided to wait outside for a couple of hours while they arranged a replacement tire. But, to avoid falling further behind, the group decided to split up into two of the other crew buses.
The driver stayed behind with the original bus, and on Sunday morning, he said he heard a “pop” sound coming from the roof.
“Within a matter of seconds, the bus was filled with smoke,” Bert said, adding that the driver managed to safely exit in time.
Bert later shared a video on his Instagram Stories showing the massive flames coming from the bus.

It’s still unclear how the fire started. The bus was completely destroyed, along with most of the items inside, including personal belongings.
Still, it could have been much worse. Bert says he is thankful that no one was hurt in what could have been a tragic incident.
“Me, the other comedians, my assistant and my trainer are all very lucky,” he said. “The Lord works in mysterious ways… As annoyed as we were to blow out a tire on a highway in a snowstorm in the middle of nowhere, we are all counting our blessings today that we weren’t on the bus when the fire broke out.”
