Dutton Ranch Releases New Trailer
Dutton Ranch is an upcoming spin-off of Yellowstone that will focus on Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler. So far, very few details about the series have been revealed. The only confirmed change is its title, which was originally announced as The Dutton Ranch before being shortened to Dutton Ranch.
Kelly Reilly, Cole Hauser, and Finn Little will return as Beth Dutton, Rip Wheeler, and Carter. They’ll be joined by newcomers such as Ed Harris and Annette Bening.
Earlier this month, the official social media accounts for the Yellowstone prequel series 1923 officially changed its name to Dutton Ranch. The caption read, “We were previously known as 1923 and will now be Dutton Ranch, coming soon to Paramount+.”
On March 13, the Dutton Ranch social media account released the show poster with the caption, “Texas you’re on notice. Beth and Rip are coming.” Then, on Monday (March 23), the series posted its first teaser, revealing just how intense it appears to be.
You can watch that teaser below.
Marshals Marks Kayce Dutton’s Next Chapter
CBS’ new series, Marshals, is then centered solely on Kayce Dutton. The show follows John Dutton’s son as he takes a decisive turn in his life, joining an elite team of U.S. Marshals. Actor Luke Grimes returned to the role and many familiar faces from Yellowstone are expected to make several appearances throughout the first season.
Kayce has taken on a new role leading a U.S. Marshals team in Montana, with his grown son Tate (Brecken Merrill) joining him. The move comes after Kayce sold the family ranch and chose to start over, following the events of Yellowstone’s season finale, which brought the Paramount Network series to a close.
Will The Dutton Family Reunite Again?
Now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, the door has been opened for a potential crossover between Beth and Kayce Dutton.
Although the two series are being developed as separate shows with distinct tones and settings, they will take place within the same timeline, leaving open the possibility for narrative overlap.
“If the stars aligned, that would be pretty cool to have Beth and Rip in our world,” Marshals showrunner Spencer Hudnut told the outlet. “Luke [Grimes] and I have talked about it in the past. I think it’s really just having these two productions and trying to figure that out that would be the challenge.”
Filming for Dutton Ranch took place across North Texas, beginning in August 2025 and wrapping in early March 2026. Marshals was also in production during a similar window, running from mid-2025 through the end of the year, but was shot in Utah.
“I certainly think the Yellowstone audience deserves seeing Kayce and his sister together, again, at some point,” Hudnut continued. “They ended Yellowstone at a really good place, and they both have lost so much family that it would seem like their bond would be even stronger than ever.”
