In 2020, Dancing With The Stars co-hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews were suddenly ousted. The network called their removal part of “a new creative direction.” One day later, they were replaced by Tyra Banks.

Fans were not happy with the decision, some even calling for a boycott of the show.

For three seasons, Tyra Banks hosted the show, with Alfonso Ribeiro joining her for the Season 31.

In a surprise move, Banks announced she is leaving Dancing With The Stars on Friday (March 17).

Banks, who also served as an Executive Producer, revealed the news during an paparazzi interview with TMZ.

She said, “I feel it’s really time for me to focus on my business and my entrepreneurship, and also producing more TV — but behind the scenes. I think it’s time to graduate from the dance floor to the stock market floor. … from the ballroom to the boardroom!”

Banks continued, “Don’t you think it’s time? Yeah, I think it’s time. I’m an entrepreneur at heart. … I think my heart, my soul, is into my business, it’s also into producing new TV. … But, I really, really want to focus on my business, and you can’t do that hosting a show.”

We wish Tyra nothing but the best! See her announcement in the video below.
