She performed the song at the 2025 CMA Awards and since then, it skyrocketed to the top of nearly every chart.
In four-and-a-half months since its release, “Choosin’ Texas” has gone No. 1 on Billboard‘s Hot Country Songs, Country Airplay, and most recently, the all-genre Hot 100 chart.
“Choosin’ Texas” has also been certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America, selling over one million units.

Every Time She Performs The Song, It’s A Treat
We don’t care if she’s on stage with full glam or singing the song in her closet, we just love hearing her sing it.
In January, Langley was thanking fans for listening to the song and making it so successful, so she gave us a little treat by performing it acoustically on social media.
“Every. Single. Day. Y’all are blowing me away with your love for this song,” Ella wrote. “We knew it was special the day we wrote it, but wow, I coulda never even imagined what’s happening right now ❤️”
Ella Recently Took Her Talents To The Grand Ole Opry
Langley was on the Grand Ole Opry lineup on February 24th to celebrate Ronnie Milsap’s 50th Opry anniversary. She performed “I Wouldn’t Have Missed It For The World” in his honor.
“Tonight I got to honor one of my very favorites with one of my favorite songs to sing at one of my favorite places to play music,” she captioned the video of her.
She didn’t just cover Milsap; she also performed her latest single, “Dandelion,” and her chart-topping hit, “Choosin’ Texas.”
Wearing a stunning black dress with her hair in an updo to show off her bare shoulders, the country star passionately sang the lyrics she wrote about a man choosing another woman, which she does in such a heartbreaking way.
While she has never disclosed if the acts in the song actually happened to her, she sings it as though she is going through it right now. You can feel every bit of pain she is singing about.
