In October, Eric Church and Luke Combs announced a benefit concert to raise funds for those in need after the devastating tropical storm. As proud North Carolina natives, they pulled the entire event together in less than a month.

The concert took place at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, featuring an all-star lineup that they brought together. Performances included appearances by Scotty McCreery, James Taylor, Keith Urban, Bailey Zimmerman, Sheryl Crow, and more.

Not only that, but Church also revealed plans to build 100 homes for those who lost everything. The “Drink In My Hand” singer launched the initiative through his Chief Cares Foundation.

Combs and his team are also continuing to collaborate with organizations like Samaritan’s Purse, Manna Food Bank, and Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina to provide ongoing support.

Beverlee Brannigan, CRB Awards Committee Chair, spoke about how deserving Church and Combs were of the award in a statement:

“Eric Church and Luke Combs’ love for their home state has been nothing short of inspiring. Their dedication to helping North Carolina recover after Hurricane Helene and their ongoing efforts show just how much they care. This award is a heartfelt recognition of their commitment, hard work, and genuine compassion for the people of North Carolina. Eric and Luke, we’re proud to honor you.”

Combs and Church will be honored with the award on Friday, Feb. 21, during the annual Country Radio Seminar in Nashville.
