Kid Rock Announces “Freedom 250” Tour

Kid Rock is gearing up for a packed year on the road. He recently announced his “Freedom 250” tour set for this spring. Alongside that run of shows, his Rock The Country festival will also travel to multiple cities nationwide, keeping him busy with back-to-back performances across the country.

The “Freedom 250 Tour” will be a 10-stop spring tour taking place from early May and going through mid June. The tour is happening ahead of the 250th anniversary of the United States on July 4th. In honor of the huge milestone, “America 250” celebrations are set to occur all over the nation.

The celebration is being coordinated through the U.S. Semiquincentennial Commission, with plans for historical exhibits, educational programs, cultural events, and major public celebrations across the country.

An outspoken Trump supporter, Kid Rock has been vocal about his love for country. Most recently, he performed at Turning Point USA’s alternative halftime show to the Super Bowl.

During his set, Kid Rock gave a surprise performance of Cody Johnson’s “‘Til You Can’t.” It was such a success, he later announced on social media that his version of the hit would be released the next morning.

Cody Johnson first released the inspirational song in October 2021. It sends a message of hope and encouragement to live life to the fullest and take advantage of the time you are given, as no one knows how much time they will have.

Kid Rock’s version also includes a brand-new verse he wrote himself and performed during the TPUSA show. You can listen to that below.

Kid Rock Fights Outrageous Ticket Sale Prices

Just last month, on January 28, Kid Rock testified during the Senate Commerce Committee regarding event ticket sales.

The singer was joined by Brian Berry, executive director of Ticket Policy Forum; Dan Wall, executive vice president for Corporate & Regulatory Affairs for Live Nation; and David Winegarden, chair and co-founder of the Colorado Independent Venue Association.

“I’m proud to say I’ve been packing arenas, amphitheaters, and stadiums with the greatest fans on earth for over 25 years,” started Kid Rock. “I am also a capitalist.”

Continuing, he said, “I’m here today because I love God, I love this country, I love live music and sports, and I believe music fans and artists have been getting screwed for far too long by the ticketing system.”

The “Cowboy” singer told Congress that Americans who love live music deserve better, and artists deserve control over their own work. He continued that “no artist should be forced to sell their tickets without a say in who sells them and how they are sold.”

However, it seems that despite his work in fighting against outrageous ticket sales, Kid Rock’s upcoming concert is still going to cost fans a hefty amount.

According to Ticketmaster, front row seats at the shows are selling for the “First Class Seats” price of $5,000. These are the seats closest to the stage. After that, the price goes down by $1,000 for each of the next four rows.

Standard general admission tickets toward the back of the venue cost just $60.

Kid Rock said on social media just before his tour went on sale that he’s utilizing Ticketmaster’s Face Value Exchange, a system that lets fans resell tickets only at the original price paid (including fees and taxes). He used this method to try to reduce markups and discourage scalpers from profiting on resold tickets.
