The World Remembers Charlie Kirk Following His Death

Popular conservative commentator and CEO of Turning Point USA Charlie Kirk was killed while speaking Wednesday (September 10) at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.

The shooting occurred under a pop-up tent on campus as part of his “American Comeback Tour.” Bystanders described the scene as chaotic after the shots were fired.

People across the world have paid tribute to Charlie over the past few days, praising him for his strong faith in God and his courage to stand up for what he believed in.

Prominent leaders also remembered the 31-year-old, from President Donald Trump to Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“He was brilliant,” Trump said. “He was an unbelievable talent. He was truly a good person.”

The President announced that he would be awarding Charlie the Presidential Medal Of Freedom during his funeral next weekend (September 21) in Glendale, Arizona.

Country Stars Pay Tribute To The Turning Point USA Founder

Many country music stars also paid their respects to Charlie since his death, dedicating performances and calling for prayers for his family.

During his concert in Detroit just one day following the shooting, Jason Aldean paid tribute to his late friend by dedicating his performance of “Try That In A Small Town.”

Jason briefly stopped the show to speak to the crowd, saying he felt it was important to take a moment and recognize what had happened.

“I couldn’t get through tonight without addressing something that happened yesterday, as you guys well know,” he said. “An amazing person by the name of Charlie Kirk was murdered yesterday in Utah. This was a guy that I knew for a few years, had a chance to meet him on quite a few occasions, talk to him, one of the best people ever. I mean, this is not the guy you go after is what I’m trying to say.”

Jason reflected on how Charlie had been one of the song’s earliest supporters, then dedicated that night’s performance to his memory.

“Charlie’s a guy that’s going to be very, very much missed, and this is something that his legacy is going to live on forever with Turning Point and what he’s done with only 31 years on this planet. It’s amazing. So just a really tragic loss for everybody. I know you guys have been feeling it as well, so tonight, since he was one of the ones that stuck out for the song, let’s play this one for Charlie,” the country star said.

Morgan Wallen also honored Charlie’s wife, Erika, during his show in Canada, telling her him and his family were “sending prayers her way.”

Gavin Adcock took time at the end of his concert to remember the conservative activist, with his crowd chanting “Charlie Kirk” as he waved an American flag.

“I didn’t get the privilege of meeting Charlie Kirk, but anybody that loves Jesus is a friend of mine,” Gavin wrote on Instagram.

Gavin encouraged the audience, saying that Charlie’s voice was “now stronger than ever.”

“Jesus loves every single one of you in this place tonight. Charlie Kirk’s with Jesus. I want ya’ll to say some thoughts and prayers tonight before you go to sleep. When you lay down by yourself or by your loved one, say some prayers for somebody that needs it. I appreciate every single one of ya’ll. I hope you have a safe trip home,” he said before ending his show.
