Gavin Rossdale is getting his very own red chair.
Rossdale is following in his ex-wife, Gwen Stefani’s footsteps by joining one of the largest franchises in television. He will be a coach on the upcoming season of The Voice UK.
The British rocker is no stranger to The Voice, as he appeared as Stefani’s mentor during her first season in 2014.
“I am genuinely overwhelmed at this opportunity and thrilled to be coming back home,” he wrote in a tweet announcing his new gig.

Rossdale has been the lead singer for the British rock band Bush for over twenty years.
Stefani and Rossdale were married for 12 years before she filed for divorce in August 2015. They have three sons together.
Stefani is not a coach on The Voice‘s current season, but thanks to her boyfriend, Blake Shelton, she does visit the set often. She was also his mentor for Season 10.
