“Tiny shoes are made for tiny feet, my two arms are made for where you sleep,” sings Jake Owen in his hit song “Made For You.”
Something that song didn’t mention is that dads with guitars are made for singin’ at school … and not always one’s own songs.
Even when you’ve recorded songs like “American Country Love Song” and “Anywhere With You,” if you’ve got a six-year-old daughter, they’re gonna want to hear one thing: Taylor Swift.
Jake Owen’s “Favorite Types Of Shows”
Happy to oblige his daughters and her schoolmates, country artist Jake Owen shared a heartwarming video to Instagram of him in his daughter Paris’ classroom at school. With the guitar on his knee, and his daughter seated beside him, he leads the class in singing Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space.”
“New money, suit and tie, I can read you like a magazine.”
Not only does Paris know all the words to the song — like the child of any musician should — but she also has some dance moves. Playfully standing up, Paris does “the floss” during the chorus.
In the caption to his Instagram post, Jake wrote, “These are my favorite types of shows.”
Expressing his love for his daughters, he noted that Paris is a Taylor Swift fan, adding, “Daddy‘s do what their daughters want them to do. Yes ma’am.”
He ended his post with an emoji-laden shoutout to the “Sparks Fly” songstress, alluding to their long-rumored connection.

On Tour
“My little girls mean more to me than anything in the world,” he wrote on Instagram — and it shows, even while he’s on tour.
This visit with Paris happened between dates on the road, as Jake is currently on The Driftwood Ramble Tour. It also appears to have coincided with her sixth birthday, which Jake posted some of the festivities for on social media a few days earlier.
Ranging from learning how to ride a bike without training wheels to riding a miniature pony, it looks like fun was had by all.
Last fall, he also made time for his eldest daughter, Pearl, on her birthday amid the tour.
