Jelly Roll recently concluded his “Down Under” 2025 Tour, which included performances across Australia and New Zealand.
Jelly has really been enjoying himself while traveling internationally. Not only did the tour mark a significant milestone in his career, particularly after years of being unable to travel internationally due to past legal issues, but the “Save Me” singer also had the unique opportunity to encounter and hold several rare and remarkably endearing local animals.
In a video shared by a fan account dedicated to Jelly and his wife Bunnie Xo, he’s seen meeting some furry friends, including a koala, a wombat, and a baby quokka.
During select dates on the tour, he was joined by Drew Baldridge as an opening act. At those shows, the two artists treated audiences to a joint performance of Garth Brooks’ iconic 1990s hit, “Friends in Low Places.”
On November 6, during the “Son of a Sinner” singer’s performance at Queensland Country Bank Stadium in Townsville, Australia, which also featured supporting acts Shaboozey and Busby Marou, Jelly and Baldridge decided to distribute wads of cash to members of the audience.
“One of the most giving humans on the planet 🙏 ,” Baldridge wrote of Jelly Roll.
A video posted to Baldridge’s Instagram page documented the touching gesture, showing him waving a stack of dollar bills while onstage before announcing his intention to give the money to the children gathered in the front row.
There was, however, one stipulation: Jelly turned the moment into a contest and instructed one of his bandmates to determine whether the full amount would be awarded to a single recipient or divided among several children.
“I happen to have a couple thousand dollars of Australian money right here,” Jelly Roll explains.
Directing Baldridge where to hand out the money, he says: “… .if Jack’s right, you’ve gotta hand him these two thousand dollars. If Jack’s wrong, I want you to jump out here and give away these two thousand dollars to some kids right here in the front row.”
Just before departing the stage, Jelly Roll signaled to his guitarist, who responded by launching into the iconic opening riff of “Friends in Low Places.” The crowd erupted in applause, making it clear that the winners of the challenge were the children.
One of the recipients of the cash posted on TikTok, sharing the moment was a “blessing beyond words.”
“Still trying to wrap my heart around what happened last night 💜,” the fan wrote. “To witness my grandson — my first grandchild — at just 3 years old, attending his second big concert in his short little lifetime, was already a blessing beyond words. But to see him receive $100 cash personally from Jelly Roll himself, handed to him by Drew Baldridge… that was a moment we’ll never forget. 🙌🎶.”
@mrs.aus.intl2022 Still trying to wrap my heart around what happened last night 💜 To witness my grandson — my first grandchild — at just 3 years old, attending his second big concert in his short little lifetime, was already a blessing beyond words. But to see him receive $100 cash personally from Jelly Roll himself, handed to him by Drew Baldridge at the Jelly Roll Down Under 2025 Tour at Queensland Country Bank Stadium in Townsville… that was a moment we’ll never forget. 🙌🎶 And the sweetest part? As Drew handed him the money, my little man looked up with the biggest smile and said, “How are ya?” 🥹💙 The crowd around us just melted — it was such a pure, genuine moment that captured the joy of the night perfectly. The look on his face — pure joy, wonder, and excitement — reminded me why music connects generations and hearts in the most beautiful way. 💫 Thank you, Jelly Roll, for your kindness, your authenticity, and for creating moments that touch not just the fans, but families — down to the tiniest ones. Your heart truly shines through your music and your actions. 💜 Feeling so grateful, emotional, and incredibly blessed to share this once-in-a-lifetime memory with my grandson. This will be a story we’ll tell for years to come. 🫶 #JellyRoll #DownUnderTour2025 #Townsville #GratefulHeart #drewbaldridge ♬ original sound – Joe
