Jelly Roll Releases New Song For His Wife, Bunnie Xo
Just one day before Valentine’s Day, Jelly Roll took to Instagram to wish his bride of 10 years a happy holiday. He also announced the release of his new song, “Thorns.”
“Happy Valentine’s Day to my rose, the beautiful Mrs. BunnieXO,” Jelly wrote.
The track highlights Jelly’s distinctive sound, while the lyrics reflect his life before meeting Bunnie as “down, broke,” contrasting with how he sees her now: “grace, you were mercy.”
Jelly first posted the song back on Bunnie’s birthday, expressing how she brought light and meaning into his life, captioning with the lyric “every thorn has its rose.”
Jelly & Bunnie’s Sweet Love Story
Jelly and Bunnie’s sweet love story began over a decade ago when the couple met in 2015 during one of his performances at a small bar in Las Vegas.
“We hit it off,” he said during a previous interview with Taste of Country. “She said she fell in love with the saddest eyes in the room.”
Just one year later, during one of his concerts in Sin City, Jelly Roll spontaneously proposed to Bunnie and they eloped at a Vegas chapel the same night.
In August of 2023, the couple revisited the same Vegas chapel and renewed their vows surrounded by loved ones, sharing a full-circle moment in their life together.
Over the years, the couple has shared precious affection for one another. Through all of life’s ups and downs, they’ve consistently shown a sweet, unwavering love.
“Thorns” Music Video Officially Released
On Sunday, March 8th, Jelly officially released the music video for “Thorns,” starring none other than Bunnie Xo herself.
“To my beautiful, intelligent, compassionate, graceful wife, and newly New York Times best selling author, I’ll never be able to thank you enough for making me complete. You truly saved my life,” Jelly wrote in an Instagram caption.
The video unfolds like a heartfelt tribute from Jelly to Bunnie, with him performing the song as if he’s speaking directly to her. He expresses deep gratitude for his wife, showing how much she means to him. As the video reaches its final moments, Jelly and Bunnie share a slow dance together, representing the idea that after everything he’s been through, he has finally found his “rose.”
