“Woo!”
That’s how Kelly Clarkson kicks off every upbeat song during her talk show’s “Kellyoke” segment. For her Thursday (July 1) show, the singer debuted her rendition of Alan Jackson’s “She’s Got the Rhythm (And I Got the Blues).”
Jackson wrote the tune with fellow country legend Randy Travis and included it on his 1992 award-winning album A Lot About Livin’ (And a Little ’bout Love). The album also produced the Top Five hits “Chattahoochee,” “She’s Got the Rhythm (And I Got the Blues),” “Tonight I Climbed the Wall,” “(Who Says) You Can’t Have It All,” and “Mercury Blues.”
Clarkson took a soulful approach to Jackson’s hit song, which had her virtual audience dancing from the comfort of their own homes! Her performance further proved why she should released an album of her country covers.
