After over nine months of contention, actor Kevin Coster and his ex-wife Christine have finalized their divorce.
Christine Baumgartner filed for divorce on May 1, and what followed was a rollercoaster.
According to People, their divorce was officially finalized and terminated on February 16th. The publication also learned that Baumgartner submitted paperwork to excuse both Costner and herself from any and all mandated co-parenting courses.
In September, Coster’s rep said the former couple “have come to an amicable and mutually agreed upon resolution of all issues pertaining to their divorce proceedings,”

While their divorce was “settled,” it wasn’t quite finalized…until now.
What did Kevin and Christine agree on?
Christine initially requested $248,000 per month in child support, eventually dropping that number to $161,592. The court sided with Costner, who had said, “My biggest concern is that the court orders me to pay child support that is above the needs of my children and for the needs of Christine.”
His child support amount was set at $63,209 per month.
The battle over child support and spousal support became contentious, with both spouses throwing what could only be described as low blows towards each other.
Christine wanted to remain in their formerly shared Santa Barbara, California compound, and then wanted to live in a beachside home, claiming that her children needed to be a short distance from the ocean.
Both Kevin and Christine have moved on.
This divorce finalization comes after both Kevin and Christine have been reportedly dating other people. In December 2023, Coster was spotted cozying up to singer Jewel in the Virgin Islands during a charity event.
Baumgartner is reportedly dating a friend of Costner’s, who she has been spotted with for many months. They were first seen together vacationing in July with her three children. TMZ published those photos.
