Loretta Lynn’s Team Gives Update On Her Condition Following Stroke

The country music world was rocked when Loretta Lynn’s team revealed that she had suffered a stroke on May 5. Earlier that day, she postponed her concert for that night due to “unforeseen circumstances“.

Little did we know, she had a huge medical emergency that sent her to the hospital. Fans, friends, family, and fellow country singers sent their prayers and well-wishes to the “Coal Miner’s Daughter” singer.

Her family has been kind enough to keep the fans informed while she is recovering from the stroke.

A few days later, her assistant, granddaughter, and daughter “say she is doing better each day and is sitting up in her recliner, laughing and talking,” according to WSMV-TV.

Although she’s expected to make a full recovery, she still has a long way to go. Her sister, country singer Crystal Gayle, took to Twitter to ask fans to continue keeping Lynn in their prayers.

“Thank you for all the prayers and well wishes for Loretta,” she wrote. “Keep them coming!”

After a few days of silence, Lynn’s team issued the following statement on her Facebook page today.

“Loretta wants to thank everybody for their prayers love and support. Loretta has been moved from hospital facility in to rehabilitation and we’re happy to report she is doing great!”

We’re so happy to hear that she is doing better! We will continue to send her prayers during her recovery.
